Today, the Central Election Commission (CEC) will hold its first meeting in a new composition.
According to Report, the meeting will consider organizational issues.
CEC members will also elect the chairman of the Commission. Mazahir Panahov is expected to be nominated for the post of chairman, according to the sources.
The Commission is re-formed this month as the term of office of CEC members expires. The Commission will traditionally consist of 18 people. Six will represent the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), six the neutral parties, while six others will be from minority parties in parliament.
Milli Majlis will approve the new composition at today's plenary meeting.
