CEC: 1,048 people applied for candidacy in parliamentary elections

As many as 1,048 people applied for candidacy in the snap parliamentary elections to be held on September 1, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov told journalists, Report informs.

Panahov said that nominations of 700 of them have been approved.

The CEC chairman also noted that the webcams in the polling stations will operate until all the processes are completed: “Webcams have been installed in 1000 locations. This is the highest indicator of transparency. Polling stations have also been established in the liberated areas.”
