Azerbaijani president approves new state duties for audiovisual media

New state duties have been established for the activities of audiovisual media in Azerbaijan, Report informs.

President Ilham Aliyev has signed into law the bill on amendments to the law "On State Duty."

The state duty for issuing licenses is set at 2,500 manats ($1,470.59) for a national terrestrial broadcaster, 500 manats ($294.12) for a regional terrestrial broadcaster, 2,500 manats ($1,470.59) for a platform broadcaster performing satellite broadcasting, 1,500 manats ($882.35) for a platform broadcaster not performing satellite broadcasting, 500 manats ($294.12) for a custom broadcast service provider, 1,500 manats ($882.35) for a simple platform operator, 2,500 manats ($1,470.59) for a universal platform operator, 2,500 manats ($1,470.59) for a multiplex operator.
