Azerbaijani leader: "We have hit enemy so hard that the whole world can no longer say a word about our victory"

"You have also seen in what state the city of Aghdam is. Now the whole world sees it. Thousands of people - politicians, MPs, public figures, journalists, foreigners - have already been to Aghdam and seen the destruction," Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the meeting with members of the Garabag football club, who has qualified for a play-off in the UEFA Conference League, Report informs.

"More than a year has passed since the end of the war. Has a European organization said a word about this tragedy, this catastrophe, this fascism? No! They ignore it as if it never happened. The city of Aghdam is not there; it has been razed to the ground, it is completely mined. A year after the end of the war, we have lost about 200 people, or they have become disabled. I wonder, has a European organization condemned Armenia for this tragedy? No! Has a European organization condemned Armenia for ethnic cleansing during the occupation, for the Khojaly genocide? No! This is the truth, this is the reality, and of course, we must take this reality into account, but we must never reconcile with it. Just as we did not reconcile with the occupation, we did not reconcile with injustice. We have gathered strength and hit so hard the enemy that the whole world cannot say a word about our victory and the whole world has been forced to accept our historic triumph because there is no other way. Why? Power, the will, unity, solidarity, and responsibility. These factors, I believe, will honor anyone, a politician in politics, life, sports. I want to reiterate that your victory is not just a sports victory. The reason for this is that you represent the city of Aghdam. I am confident that the day will come we will re-build Aghdam as I said; we shall rebuild such an Aghdam to be an example to the whole world, and you will play your home games in Aghdam, at the Imarat Stadium, where you will win bright victories and make our people happy," the president stressed.
