Azerbaijan's population rises by 0.1%

As of May 1, 2026, the Azerbaijani population increased by 7,987 people, or 0.1 percent, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.

The total population has reached 10,270,338 people.

Of the population, 54.3 percent live in urban areas and 45.7 percent in rural areas. Men make up 49.8% of the population, while women account for 50.2%.
