Azerbaijan eyeing resumption of tramway service in cities

Baku. 28 December. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan has unveiled plans to study and prepare proposals to develop existing public transport infrastructure in Azerbaijan in 2019-2022, increase the number of  innercity public transport, study the potential and economic efficiency of the tramway service, cabotage passenger and cargo shipments.

The plan is contained in the State Program on Road Traffic Safety in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2023.

The Ministry of Transport, Communication and High Technologies will execute the major works on the state program approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
