Azerbaijan again extends special quarantine regime

By analyzing the current sanitary-epidemiological situation regarding the spread of a new coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, the special quarantine regime in the country has been extended until 00:00 on August 31, 2020, Report says, citing task Force Under Cabinet of Ministers. 

Besides, considering the current dynamics of COVID-19 infection among individuals, a strict quarantine regime will not be in force in Lankaran and Samukh regions from July 20, 2020.

According to the current sanitary-epidemiological situation, a tightened special quarantine regime will continue in Baku, Jalilabad, Ganja, Masalli, Mingachevir, Sumgayit, Yevlakh and in Absheron, Barda, Goranboy, Goygol, Khachmaz, Siyazan, and Sheki regions until 06:00 on August 5, 2020. Moreover, public transport will not operate on weekends on the following dates in cities and districts in which the special quarantine regime has been toughened:

 from 00:00 (GMT+4) July 25 through 06:00 (GMT+4) July 27;

 from 00:00 (GMT+4) August 1 through 06:00 (GMT+4) August 3;

Hairdressers, beauty salons, and rendering of cosmetic services (except for massage and bath services) are allowed from July 20, 2020, in cities and regions where the special quarantine regime is tightened. The duration of the SMS permits, leaving the place of residence and is increased from 2 to 3 hours.

Based on the current sanitary-epidemiological situation, we urge everyone to follow the rules of personal hygiene and comply with medical preventive measures to protect themselves and their loved ones from the virus.
