3,583 hectares of land cleared of mines in Azerbaijan's liberated territories in January

The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has issued a monthly report about humanitarian demining operations carried out in the liberated territories, Report informs.

In January, 257 anti-tank mines, 505 anti-personnel mines, and 1,497 unexploded ordnance (UXO) were discovered and neutralized in the liberated territories.

Thus, 3,583.8 hectares of territory were cleared of mines.

The demining operations were carried out by ANAMA, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), the State Border Service (SBS), and four private companies.
