Strengthening Azerbaijani diaspora organizations in UAE discussed

A meeting was held with the Azerbaijani community in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Report informs, citing the State Committee on Work with Diaspora.

The event began with the national anthem of Azerbaijan and was opened by the Chairman of the State Committee, Fuad Muradov.

Noting that under the instructions and recommendations of President Ilham Aliyev, the Committee's staff regularly holds meetings with Azerbaijanis living abroad, Chairman Muradov congratulated Azerbaijanis on October 18 - the Day of Restoration of State Independence. He also congratulated the Diaspora on the first anniversary of the glorious Victory in the Great Patriotic War gained under the leadership of victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and thanked them for their unity, solidarity and selfless work to convey the true position of Azerbaijan to the world community.

It was noted that in the recent years progress has been made in the organization of the Azerbaijani diaspora in the UAE, their integration into society, education, and social status.

Then, there was an extensive exchange of views, and various proposals were made to strengthen the activities of Azerbaijani diaspora organizations in the UAE.

The event featured videos on the activities and e-resources of the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora.

The meeting ended with the election of coordinators of the Coordination Council of Azerbaijanis in the Arab countries for the UAE and was followed by a festive event.
