Protests against Armenian eco-terror held in Budapest, Prague and Chisinau

Our compatriots living in different countries showed solidarity with Azerbaijani eco-activists, civil society representatives, and volunteers who are holding a protest on the Shusha-Khankandi road, Report informs.

Azerbaijanis living in Budapest, Hungary, held a peaceful picket as a sign of protest against Armenian eco-terrorism in the territory of Azerbaijan. The action participants, waving the flags of Azerbaijan, displayed posters with their slogans "Stop illegal exploitation of Azerbaijan's natural resources!", "Stop environmental crime!", "No eco-terrorism!", "Stop the irreparable damage to the environment!"

The picket aimed at drawing the attention of the local and world community to the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits by Armenia and Armenian separatists in the territory of Azerbaijan under the temporary control of Russian peacekeepers and showing support for the Azerbaijani eco-activists, representatives of civil society and volunteers who are protesting on the Shusha-Khankandi road.

A peaceful protest against Armenian eco-terrorism was also organized by Farid Amiraliyev, an activist of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Prague, the Czech Republic. The action took place in front of the building where the UN Information Center, the UN High Commissioner for Hostages, the Czech representative office of UNICEF, and other international organizations are located.

Our young compatriots gave detailed information about the illegal exploitation by Armenia and Armenian separatists of mineral deposits in the territory of Azerbaijan, which is under the temporary control of Russian peacekeepers.

Another protest against the Armenian eco-terror was held in Chisinau, Moldova, in front of the UN representation in this country. Speaking at the event, Elchin Bayramov, chairman of the Moldovan Azerbaijanis Congress, said that protecting the environment is the duty of every person, regardless of ethnicity.

"Plundering of Azerbaijan's natural resources and pollution of its territory has become a serious problem that worries not only the people of Azerbaijan but the entire population of the region," Bayramov said.

At the end of the protest organized by the Moldovan Azerbaijanis Congress, a statement was read and presented to the UN representative office in Chisinau.

During the actions, attention was drawn to the fact that Russian peacekeepers did not allow the monitoring group consisting of representatives of Azerbaijan's state institutions to enter the region and conduct observations, and in this regard, Azerbaijani eco-activists, representatives of civil society, and volunteers held a continuous protest action on the Shusha-Khankandi road but did not allow any humanitarian crisis to arise at a time when Azerbaijan's natural resources were illegally looted, its environment was polluted, and ecocide was committed. The silence of the international organizations in the face of the Armenian eco-terror committed in Karabakh was called unacceptable behavior, and it was emphasized that the Azerbaijani community and the world's Azerbaijanis demand from the international organizations an end to the illegal exploitation of fields in Karabakh and an end to ecological terrorism.
