Georgia: Kidnappers of 15-year-old Azerbaijani girl detained

Two people who abducted a 15-year-old girl in the Tullar village of Sagarejo, Georgia, were detained. Report's local bureau informs that the Georgian Interior Ministry has issued a statement in this regard.

The investigation revealed that on February 5, a 16-year-old boy kidnapped an Azerbaijani girl for marriage, and his 18-year-old cousin helped him.

As a result of operative search and investigation, the girl was located and delivered home safely the same day. Police officers detained the kidnappers on February 8 in Dedoplis Tskaro. They may face a sentence from 7 to 10 years in line with the Criminal Code of Georgia.
