Azerbaijani President: "It is crucial that historical moments be always on agenda of diaspora organizations"

"The separatist tendencies that began in the late 1980s virtually tore apart most of Karabakh from Azerbaijan. They did it during the Soviet era. A special governing committee was set up and a pro-Armenian man was appointed from Moscow," President Ilham Aliyev told the 5th Congress of World Azerbaijanis.

"The history after that is also known. Our people have gone through all these sufferings for two centuries and finally, have their say. Finally, we crushed the head of the enemy with an `iron fist’ and restored historic justice and national dignity. Therefore, it is very important that these historical moments be always on the agenda of diaspora organizations," the president said.
