Türkiye launches educational project on Turkic world

A seminar titled Simulation Model of the Assembly of Turkic States (TÜRKAS) is being held at Hacı Bayram Veli University in Ankara, Türkiye.
According to Report's Türkiye bureau, the seminar is organized through cooperation between the Center for Language Teaching, Research and Practice, Turkology and Turkic World Research Centers, the Yunus Emre Institute, and Hasan Ali Yücel Social Sciences High School.
The event gathered academics, high school principals, public figures, and about 400 students. The opening ceremony of TÜRKAS 2026 was attended by University Vice-Rector Professor Metin Orbay, Yunus Emre Institute Vice-President Ömer Yıldız, Head of the Cultural Center at Azerbaijan's Embassy in Türkiye Samir Abbasov, as well as deans of various faculties.
Within TÜRKAS 2026, school students are working in 10 different commissions, where they evaluate perspectives and develop solutions to pressing issues of the Turkic world.
The opening ceremony also featured a film presentation about TÜRKAS, along with musical and dance performances.
