Romanian cultural day celebrated in Baku

Romanian cultural day celebrated in Baku by organizing "International conference: Romania - Cultural Identity", Report infroms citing Romanian Language and Culture Center. 

The event was organized by the Romanian Language and Culture Center, within Azerbaijan University of Languages, Baku, with the support of Embassy of Romanian to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The activities and the lectures presented by Romanian language students, guests and peers covered a variety of topics including visual arts, photography, language comparisons and influences, literature, translations, folklore and traditions, cultural personalities, cultural exchanges between Romania and Azerbaijan and Romanian music.

Mihai Eminescu's poems, born on January 15th 1859, recited by students, enchanted the audience in an Azerbaijani translation.
