Azerbaijan will attend the 9th St.Petersburg international cultural forum as an honorary guest of the event, Report informs, citing the forum organizers.
The official delegation in the forum will be attended by Azerbaijan's Minister of Culture, Anar Karimov.
"Participation of Azerbaijan's Minister of Culture Anar Karimov in the forum stresses the importance of bilateral ties in the creative sphere, as well as studying and promoting cultural heritage," the statement says.
The forum is expected to include the ceremonial opening of Azerbaijan's permanent exposition in the hall of the State Ermitage, laying a stone in the place of Uzeyir Hajibayli's monument in the Petersburg lane, which was named after the genius composer in 2020.
The ballet 'A thousand and one night' by composer Fikrat Amirov will be staged in the Marie Theater in the city. The concert of jazz musicians from Azerbaijan is also expected.
The 9th St.Petersburg international cultural forum will take place on November 11-13, 2021.
