Two-fold surge seen in Azerbaijan's pasta exports to Canada

Azerbaijan exported 3,000 tons of pasta products (except couscous), valued at $1.62 million in the first six months of 2024, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.

According to the obtained data, the exports grew by 26 percent in volume and rose by 41 percent in value compared to the corresponding period of 2023.

From January through June 2024, Azerbaijan exported 1,252 tons (+53%) of pasta to Georgia for $751,500 (+45%), 1,371 tons (+11%) to Iraq for $589,400 (+1%), 200.34 tons to Israel for $128.930 (no supply a year ago),125.14 tons to Saudi Arabia for $85,000 (no supply a year ago), and 43 tons (+2.2 times) to Canada for $31,600 (+2.1 times).

In 2023, Azerbaijan exported a total of 5,557 tons of pasta to 11 countries, of which 46.1% went to Iraq and 43.3% to Georgia.
