Turkish heating, cooling companies might increase presence in Azerbaijani market

Turkish companies operating in the heating, cooling, and ventilation systems (air conditioning technologies) sector want to increase their share in the Azerbaijani market, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turkish HVAC&R Exporters' Association (ISIB), Mehmet Sanal, told Report.

According to him, currently, Azerbaijan is ranked 16th among countries importing these systems from Turkey

"Representatives of several companies operating in Turkey arrived in Azerbaijan this week to discuss cooperation opportunities. A seminar was organized in Azerbaijan, and we held meetings. We plan to hold seminars and meetings in this area in the future as well. We will try to inform the representatives of this sector in Azerbaijan," he said.

Mehmet Sanal believes that Turkish producers have paid little attention to the Azerbaijani market in this regard.

"We want to jointly apply new technologies in Azerbaijan and adapt to innovations in the world. Systems worldwide are changing rapidly, and the need for energy efficiency is growing," he added.

Mehmet Sanal also expressed satisfaction with the liberation of Karabakh: "A lot of infrastructure work will be carried out in Karabakh, and we can work in this direction based on the efficient use of energy. We were here 45 days ago and held informational meetings on Karabakh."

In January-November 2021, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkey increased by 6.9% to $4,181,380,000.

In the first 11 months of this year, Azerbaijan's exports to Turkey increased by 0.9% compared to the same period last year and reached almost $2,529,608,000, while imports from Turkey increased by 17.6% to $1,651,771,000.
