A memo of mutual understanding in exchanging information and experience in various economic zones was signed at the 10th meeting of the economy ministers of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States.

Report informs that Turkey's Minister of Trade Mehmet Mus said before the signing took place that the population of the Turkic-speaking states reaches 160 million people and the total value of their economy reaches $1.1 trillion per annum.

"We consider that in the period ahead, special importance will be attached to cooperation between our countries, especially in the digital and green economy. Turkey is ready to provide every assistance in this sphere. The Turkic Investment Fund is also important in terms of investing in member-states," he said.

The Turkish minister also spoke about the preferential trade agreement signed with Azerbaijan, which came into force this year. He noted that a similar document might be inked with Uzbekistan.

"We plan to complete our talks with Uzbekistan this year," he said.
