Tsivkach: Azerbaijan among top 25 countries - investors in Ukrainian economy

Azerbaijan is one of the key economic and strategic partners of Ukraine, Sergiy Tsivkach, an Executive Director of the Ukrainian government's investment promotion agency UkraineInvest told in an interview with Report.

According to him, Azerbaijan is among the top 25 countries-investors in the Ukrainian economy, with the accumulated direct investments at $172.4million as of Q12021.

"There are more than 140 companies with Azerbaijani capital in Ukraine," he said, adding that they are primarily engaged in trade and car repair, as well as industry.

"UkraineInvest is actively developing cooperation with the business community of Azerbaijan. So, for example, in August of this year, UkraineInvest and the Terezi Ukrainian-Azerbaijani Business Association signed a memo of cooperation aimed at the active interaction in attracting investments to Ukraine. The memorandum is primarily intended to deepen cooperation to exchange relevant information and progressive experience in attracting direct investment," he said.
