Grandmart opens branch in Aktau soon

At present, Azerbaijan's economy is successfully developing based on a balanced ratio of the oil and non-oil sectors. This factor, along with increasing the international prestige of our country, also strengthens geopolitical position of Azerbaijan as a regional leader.

Report informs, President Ilham Aliyev creates excellent opportunities for the country's economy, turns Azerbaijan into an economically powerful state, strengthens its position in international relations, and expands partnerships. To support this policy and contribute to the strengthening of international relations, the Grandmart network of stores, which successfully continues its activities in the local market, has taken the first steps towards the presentation of Azerbaijani products in foreign markets as well as the transformation of the Azerbaijani brand into a global brand.

The opening of a branch for 3,000 sq.m. in the Kazakh city of Aktau shortly will become an incentive for retail brands to carry out activities inside and outside the country and for the more excellent promotion of Azerbaijan. This significant event is the success of the Grandmart supermarket chain and the entire retail sector of Azerbaijan. Directors of the Grandmart network of stores Eshgin Ismayilli and Turan Özbahceci, have played an invaluable role in implementing the project. For many years, they have had a significant impact on creating and forming networks of retail stores in Azerbaijan.

Eshgin Ismayilli - founder of the Megastore supermarket networks and Bakumart Supply, is a pioneer of B2B and B2C projects. 

Along with the innovative technological solutions that he introduced to the retail sector, E. Ismayilli, who has adhered to the principle of excellent service in the national retail market for many years, has contributed to the retail industry by customer satisfaction and system management.

Turan Ozbahcechi, a Turkish businessman, sold 21 out of 51 stores in the Trakya region to the most influential retail group in England, Tesco-Kipa, in 2012, became the founding partner and CEO of the Araz supermarket chain in 2011, and in 2015 opened the largest store in the Caucasus for gourmets and the Port Baku Bazar VIP store.

Two leaders of the retail market E. Ismayilli and T. Ozbahcechi, having united in one project to develop the retail market of Azerbaijan, have achieved great success in Grandmart, Bolmart, and Baggal projects. Through the Bolmart, it was possible to satisfy customers' needs and ensure a high level of the market not only in Baku but also in many regions of Azerbaijan, thereby expanding the degree of professionalism.

Besides, the acquisition of the Sabat, Fresco, Avromart markets by the Grandmart network, and, after their rebranding, the representation of 32 branches under the Grandmart name in Baku based on the principle of excellent service, has become a new breath in the retail sector.
