Minister of Taxes recommends to revise interest revenues in some companies

Baku. 10 March. REPORT.AZ/ “Azerbaijan has endorsed number of international regulations. We prepare to sign proper agreement with some organizations, including World Trade Organization (WTO).” 

Report informs, Minister of Taxes Fazil Mammadov told, answering questions of entrepreneurs at today's tax conference entitled “Together Towards Transparency”.

F. Mammadov noted that WTO have some requirements for taxation rates: “Azersun Holding made some proposals some time before. But according to WTO requirements, application of different tax rates for local and imported products is unacceptable. It means that dumping is irrational.”

The minister told that levying tax on electronic commerce is reasonable: “Import must be managed through one channel. But electronic trade has already surpassed ordinary import. That’s why it had to be taken under control. I think that application of this tax is reasonable”.

F. Mammadov also recommended to revise interest revenues in some companies: “MasterCard representative told here that no promotional work has been carried out. We have to conduct these works together. We levy 2% in regions, taxes levied on your services also reach 2%. You recommend us to revise taxes. You also revise your interest incomes”.
