Baku. 21 December. REPORT.AZ/ The American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan (AmCham Azerbaijan) organized its monthly members’ luncheon. Its Guest Speaker – Mr. Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Management Board to the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SMBDA) – delivered a speech on the Government’s policy towards ensuring sustainable economic growth, the role of small and medium-sized businesses in Azerbaijan’s economic future as well as the priority areas of the Agency’s activities aimed at supporting the SME entrepreneurship in the country. On its part, Mrs. Konul Pasha, Head of Woman Banking at TuranBank, delivered a presentation on the bank’s corporate profile, as well as ongoing and upcoming projects. In addition, Mr. Nuran Kerimov, President of AmCham Azerbaijan, presented the 2018 edition of AmCham White Paper – the key policy document of the Chamber. In doing so, he acknowledged with special awards those members of AmCham community who has made the most outstanding contribution to its preparation process. More than 150 guests attended the event, including representatives of diplomatic corps.
AmCham Azerbaijan Members’ Luncheons are organized monthly by the Chamber and feature participation of high ranked government officials, members of parliament and representatives of diplomatic corps.
