Prime minister: Georgia keen to expand economic cooperation with region states

Tbilisi. 31 January. REPORT.AZ/ "Georgia is interested in expanding economic cooperation with the region states. Georgia does its best for this purpose".

Georgia bureau of Report News Agency informs, Georgian prime minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said at a meeting with representatives of the companies and business structures operating in the country.

He also said that this also serves to stability in the region and improvement of well-being of the people.

"We are implementing a number of large-scale projects with neighbor countries, which plays an important role in the development of small and medium businesses and expansion of foreign trade relations of the companies", he added.

According to him, it also allows foreign businessmen to expand their economic ties in Georgia.

Prime minister once again underlined importance of the projects implemented jointly with Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, restoration and development of the Great Silk Road. He emphasized that these projects play significant role in the development of regional and European countries, in energy security and ensuring stability.
