Opening date of Alat Free Economic Zone revealed

Azerbaijan’s Alat Free Economic Zone is expected to start operating in July 2022, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Economic Policy, Industries, and Enterprising Tahir Mirkishili said at today's plenary session, Report informs.

He was presenting amendments to the law “On Alat Free Economic Zone” in the first reading.

According to Mirkishili, the bill was prepared in connection with the activities of the Alat Free Economic Zone and the improvement of legislation in this area per international experience.
