Baku. 8 February. REPORT.AZ/ Although the number of people coming to work in Azerbaijan from major countries increased, dynamic flow of workers are from Central and South-East Asian countries, in particular from Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Bangladesh.
Report informs, the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection (MLSP) reported.
As of the beginning of this year, the fund registered 33 940 foreign citizens in individual registration system
This is 21.79% more compared to the beginning of last year.
Last year the number of citizens of Uzbekistan who have been allowed to work in Azerbaijan grew 6.42 times the Bangladesh citizens by 99.1%, citizens of Turkmenistan by 54.93%.
The lowest dynamics recorded in number of citizens of Germany (6.64%), Iran (7.77%), China (8.29%) and Georgia (8.85%). As shown below the number of people coming to Azerbaijan form that countries not increased even by 10%.
As before migrants from Turkey, Georgia and Russia headed top three for the number of foreign workers in Azerbaijan.The total number of visitors from those neighboring countries at beginning of this year was 20, 935, or 61.68% of all foreigners. At the beginning of last year, the figure was 18 507, or 66.41% of all foreigners.
