Japanese company Nintendo plans to boost the flagship game console Switch for the second time this year, Report informs, referring to Bloomberg.
The company aims to increase production to 30 million units per year. Earlier in August, Nintendo expanded capacity to 25 million consoles a year. The firm said that the steady increase was due to the coronavirus pandemic's situation. Thus, people who isolate themselves at home began to buy consoles actively, and therefore the demand in the video game market has grown sharply.
Besides, in July, according to Bloomberg, Sony had doubled production of the PlayStation 5 console, which is set to launch. Sony plans to extend the output of the PS5 console to 10 million units this year.
