New markets found for Azerbaijani products

Baku. 9 October. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan's Made in Azerbaijan single country stand has been demonstrated at the ANUGA International Food Fair in Germany.

Report informs citing the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It was stated that at the stand of Azerbaijan, exhibition visitors were informed about quality and competitive products of exporting companies, business and investment opportunities of Azerbaijan as well as printed materials were distributed.

Within the framework of the exhibition, talks were held on exports of pomegranate, dried fruits and confectionery products to Mongolia, Switzerland and Romania, a number of orders received. Azerbaijan's pomegranate processing company, Mars FK received initial orders of 100 tons and 18 tons of pomegranates from Switzerland and Mongolia as a result of negotiations with the countries' sales companies.

"Balkhoorma", which produces dried diospyros with a special processing method, held talks with a number of hotel catering companies in Argentina, the Netherlands, Italy and Greece and reached initial agreement on export. “Konfiron biskvit” LLC, a confectionery producer of Azerbaijan, has held talks on export to Romania within the framework of the exhibition.

Azerbaijan is represented by "Made in Azerbaijan" single country stands for food and drinks pavilions for the first time in the ANUGA International Food Fair, which will last until October 11.

In general, Azerbaijan is represented by more than 20 exporting companies at ANUGA. The cost of organizing a single country stand is covered by the state budget.
