Minister of Trade and Industry of Czech Republic to visit Azerbaijan in January

Baku. November 27. REPORT.AZ/ Minister of Trade and Industry of the Czech Republic Jan Mládek will visit Azerbaijan in the second half of January. Report informs, Czech ambassador to Azerbaijan Vitezslav Pivonka said that to journalist.

According to him, during his visit to Baku J. Mladek will discuss draft agreements to be signed during the visit of the Czech President Milos Zeman to Azerbaijan in the first half of next year.

The ambassador noted that Azerbaijan is a strategic partner of the Czech Republic, trade turnover  between the countries amounted 1,5 bln dollars. According to V. Pivonka, energy and infrastructure are the most active areas of cooperation in bilateral relations.

"We would like to cooperate with Azerbaijan in the field of "green energy". In the Czech Republic there is a lot of experience in the field of solar energy. In general, the Czech Republic has a great interest in Azerbaijan," - said V. Pivonka.

"Today everyone wants to develop relations with Azerbaijan. Your country is a respected partner and we also intend to develop ties with the country",-  ambassador stated.
