Mexican ambassador: Import from Azerbaijan grew by 12.4-fold during two years

Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Mexico on culture, tourism, trade continues successfully, Mexican ambassador to Azerbaijan Rodrigo Labardini told journalists, Report informs.

"In 2017-2018, Azerbaijan’s export to Mexico rose by 12.4-fold. Today, Mexico accounts for 12% of Azerbaijan’s beer import. The relations developed more after Azerbaijan opened an embassy in Mexico in 2007 and Mexico in Azerbaijan in 2014," he said.

"Trade links started to develop after Azerbaijan organized trade mission to Mexico in 2017. In 2019. Mexico’s third trade mission started operation in Azerbaijan. Two contracts were signed with Azerbaijani businessmen. Moreover, representatives of Mexican Petroleum Institution attended the Caspian Oil and Gas conference in 2018."
