KOBIA: About 9,000 women took part in business training in Azerbaijan

In 2021, about 9,000 women entrepreneurs and women who want to start an entrepreneurial activity participated in training conducted by small and medium-sized business development centers in Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Board of Small and Medium Business Development Agency of Azerbaijan (KOBIA) Orkhan Mammadov said at the conference “The role of women’s entrepreneurship in the economic development of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur” in Baku, Report informs.

“Taking into account the priorities of the country’s economic development and national characteristics, the Agency is taking appropriate measures to promote the development of women’s entrepreneurship, further increase the number of women among small and medium-sized entrepreneurs. In order to inform women about entrepreneurship, innovations in this area, support mechanisms, to study their opinions and proposals, events, training, seminars and round table meetings are regularly organized,” Mammadov said.
