GIZ offers e-learning opportunities for businesses in Azerbaijan

The German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) is currently implementing projects in Azerbaijan to develop the private sector and vocational education, economic and social integration of vulnerable groups, natural resource management, and sustainable development in rural areas, Report informs, citing GIZ.

Besides, the project, aimed at the economic and social integration of IDPs and vulnerable groups in the South Caucasus, supports establishing local career centers to guide and help young people choose a career.

According to GIZ, the company currently supports partners in implementing an e-services portal in Guba and Masalli districts, as well as in Ganja.

As part of vocational training, GIZ supports partners in tourism and transport by providing digital training opportunities for small and medium enterprises.

“We provide consultancy on the development of specific approaches to increasing income generation opportunities (employment and company creation), including the availability of online training for vulnerable groups such as IDPs, women, youth, and people with disabilities,” a source at the society said.

“In addition, we support pilot projects to digitize governance at the regional level. In the future, citizens should have easy and transparent access to information through an electronic portal,” GIZ said.
