Foreign trade turnover with the CIS countries decreased

Baku. 28 May. REPORT.AZ/ In January-April, 2015 trade turnover of Azerbaijan with the CIS countries in comparison with the same period of last year decreased by 6.33% to 858.2 million USD.

Report informs referring to the information given by the State Customs Committee, during this period, exports decreased by 43.4% to 126.1 million dollars, imports grew by 5.58% to 732.1 million dollars. Exports to CIS countries amounted to 2.95%, import - 21.51% of total exports.

Among the transactions with the CIS countries in the Russian Federation accounted for 103.1 million dollars, or 81.77% of total exports, as well as 545.5 million dollars, or 74.52% of total imports. During the reporting period, exports to Russia decreased by 39.79%, while imports increased by 32.13%.

In January-April of this year, the volume of foreign trade turnover in comparison with the same period of last year decreased by 22.42% and amounted to 7.7 bln dollars. 3.4 billion dollars of them accounted to import transactions, 4.3 billion dollars to export operations.

During the reporting period the volume of imports grew by 24.46%, exports fell by 40.33%.
