Flight to be launched between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan

Baku. 20 November. REPORT.AZ/ Business Delegation consisting of representatives of Tajikistan's Tajik Aluminum Company and Somon Air airline has paid an official visit to Azerbaijan. Report informs, Embassy of Tajikistan in Azerbaijan said.
According to the information, during the visit, the guests met with the President of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), Jahangir Askerov, General Director of Buta Airways Jamil Manizade and First Vice President of Silkway Teymur Mammadov.
As a result of negotiations, Somon Air will start regular flights on Dushanbe-Baku-Frankfurt-Baku-Dushanbe route twice a week.
Within the framework of the visit, some agreements have been reached on cargo transportation. So, Tajik civil aviation specialists will be trained in specialized Azerbaijani educational institutions.
Minister of Economic Development of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev, chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Javid Gurbanov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company Rauf Valiyev, Chairman of the Azerbaijani State Committee on Property Issues Kerem Hasanov , SOCAR vice-president David Mammadov and director general of DET-Al aluminum plant Serkan Babayev.
A supplies agreement between Tajikistan's TALCO and DET-Al has been signed and this agreement will come into force in December. Also, an agreement was reached to invest in Ganja Alumina Refinery in 2018.
