EU recognizes health certificate issued for Azerbaijan’s food products

Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency and European Union (EU) have reached an agreement on issuance of health certificates for exported products, Advisor to the Chairman of the Agency Elkhan Mikayilov told journalists, Report informs.

According to him, the EU recognizes the health certificate issued for the export of animal- and vegetable-based food: "The certificates will confirm both food safety of products and conformity with veterinary requirements if they are based on animals. This will be in favor of entrepreneurs. They will pay less duty for one certificate instead of two. In general, they will be able to export products to EU countries with a small financial cost."

"There will be no difficulty in recognition of the certificate. In case of any problem, they can apply to the Agency."
