EU countries invested $ 50.3 bln in Azerbaijan over past nine years

Baku. 5 June. REPORT.AZ/ It has been observed the increase of negotiations between Azerbaijan and the European Union (EU) over the past nine years.

Report informs, Deputy Minister of Economy Rufat Mammadov said at the EU-Azerbaijan Business Forum.

Ramiz Mammadov also spoke about the trade turnover between the EU and Azerbaijan: "For the last 9 years EU countries have invested $ 50.3 billion in Azerbaijan. 34% of trade turnover belongs to the EU countries. Last year the trade turnover with the EU made $ 9.4 billion. Azerbaijan pays 5% of EU need for oil. EU investments in Azerbaijan have caused to opening of 11,000 new jobs", the Deputy Minister said.
