EU Ambassador: Nakhchivan has great potential for increasing export of its goods

Nakhchivan. 23 September. REPORT.AZ/ A business forum was held in Nakhchivan within the framework of the European Union Days.

Report informs that heads and representatives of the diplomatic missions of the EU countries accredited in Azerbaijan got acquainted with the products manufactured by the enterprises of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, as well as its economic potential, and met with local businessmen. Minister of Economy of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan Famil Seyidov spoke about the successes achieved in the development of entrepreneurship.

The Minister of Economy noted that despite the ongoing blockade, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic continues to develop its infrastructure and create new jobs.

Seyidov noted that Nakhchivan-made products are exported to a number of countries, including Turkey, Russia, Georgia, UAE, Iraq, and others.

Head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Azerbaijan Kestutis Jankauskas, in turn, recalled that the European Union is the main trade partner, the major investor, and the largest export market for Azerbaijan.
