Economy Ministry receives over 900 applications for doing business in Karabakh

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy has received more than 900 appeals for conducting entrepreneurial activities in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, Deputy Economy Minister Sahib Alakbarov said at a conference on "Opportunities for the innovative economic development of the liberated territories" in Shamakhi, Report informs.

According to him, about a third of the appeals are from abroad, and the rest came from local companies and entrepreneurs.

"Priorities of the investment projects are analyzed, and then potential projects are identified and included in the database. Relevant proposals are being prepared to increase innovation activity, organize economic recovery, provide incentives for entrepreneurs working in this field, and create more favorable conditions for improving the business environment. The proposals will include support measures such as tax, customs and utility benefits and easier access to financial resources (state-guaranteed bank loans)," he noted.
