Chamber of Accounts: Unprofitable taxpayers must be controlled

Baku. 7 December. REPORT.AZ/ Board of the Chamber of Accounts of Azerbaijan Republic has examined and approved results of audit held by Territorial Taxation Department No.8 to determine observation of regulations by taxpayers. Report informs referring to the chamber.

According to report, the department didn’t investigate facts related to incomes not indicated on tax declaration by some taxpayers, who have facilities in territories of other taxation agencies, as well as reason of reduction of tax payments by all other taxpayers declared their incomes in normal way.

Number of unfulfilled decisions to seize taxpayers’ property for their debts by the end of auditing period was 516 and overall volume of such debts was AZN 742,000.

At the same time, information provided by taxpayers who declared themselves unprofitable haven’t been compared with information from other sources and reasons of discrepancies haven’t been revealed and eliminated.

General decision upon audit results was that the tax control must be tightened.
