Car production in Azerbaijan fell sharply

Baku. 16 September. REPORT.AZ/ In January-August 2017, Azerbaijan produced only 30 units of cars.

Report informs referring to the State Statistical Committee, this is 74.8% less compared to the same period last year.

Over the past year, production of trucks fell by 98.9%, to 4 units.

During the reporting period, the total cost of production of machinery and equipment, other vehicles, cars, trailers and semi-trailers amounted to 169.4 mln AZN. Compared with January-August 2016, the production of machinery and equipment increased by 32.4%, other vehicles - 23.7%.

For 8 months, the production of fountain fittings grew by 91.6%, borehole pumps - 11.2%, communal special purpose vehicles - 98.6%, tractors - 50.3%.
