Baku hosts Azerbaijan-Russia business meeting

An Azerbaijani-Russian business meeting has started in Baku today.

Report informs that Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov opened the event.

The minister said that Azerbaijan and Russia are friendly countries and strategic partners.

"I want to draw attention to the work of the Azerbaijan-Russia Intergovernmental Commission. In this context, continuous work is being done, economic relations between Azerbaijan and Russia are developing. Today's business meeting took place thanks to our partnership.

"2020 was a difficult year, marked by some challenges and, of course, it influenced our relations. Despite the pandemic, Russia remains Azerbaijan's main trading partner. In 2021, we expect an increase in trade turnover, and it makes us happy," Jabbarov noted.
