Baku. 7 April. REPORT.AZ/ Baku hosted a meeting of Azerbaijan-Estonia intergovernmental commission.

Report informs, event was presided by the co-chairs of the intergovernmental commission, Azerbaijani Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Ramin Guluzade and Estonian Minister of State Administration Mikhail Korb.

In their speeches, ministers noted the high level of bilateral political ties between the countries.

In turn, Director of the Department of Economic Development of the Estonian Foreign Ministry Kaapu Reede spoke about the areas in which the two countries can cooperate intensively. He noted that it is necessary to make efforts to intensify trade between the countries.

Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Economic Development Niyazi Safarov said that 15 agreements have been signed between the countries, 22 Estonian companies operate in Azerbaijan. At the same time, he noted that the level of trade turnover does not correspond to the potential of the two countries. Also N. Safarov informed the Estonian delegation about Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and consequences of the Armenian occupation.
