AZPROMO: 200 elevators to be assembled at Azerbaijani-Belarusian enterprise

The Azerbaijani-Belarusian joint elevator assembly enterprise plans to assemble 200 elevators in the first stage this year, said Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), at the Azerbaijan-Belarus Business Forum held Monday.

According to Abdullayev, an agreement on joint production was signed between the Belarusian Mogilevliftmash JSC and the Azerbaijani Vertus Engineering Co last year. Joint cooperation in the field of elevator equipment has already entered a practical stage.

He noted that cooperation between the Ganja Automobile Plant and the Minsk Tractor Plant in the industrial sector has been particularly fruitful: "Thanks to the assembly lines established since 2007, the plant has produced more than 14,000 Belarusian tractors and more than 3,000 trucks for various purposes. Recently, the production line has been expanded and the production of fire trucks has also been added."
