A document has been signed providing for the completion of work on the implementation of the Cargo Targeting System (CTS) of the World Customs Organization (WCO) in Azerbaijan’s customs service, Chairman of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee Safar Mehdiyev tweeted, Report informs.
“Using CTS software is extremely important for risk assessment and management,” Mehdiyev added.
On April 27, 2020, an agreement was signed between the State Customs Committee and the WTO on the use of software for the cargo targeting system. This system allows for the identification of high-risk consignments and accelerates the passage of low-risk consignments through customs border checkpoints, thereby simplifying and ensuring the security of trade.
