Azerbaijani official: Issuance of startup certificate to begin soon

Startup certificates will be issued to micro and small businesses in the coming days in Azerbaijan, said Orkhan Mammadov, chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy said, Report informs.

Mammadov added that startups that received these certificates will be exempted from taxes for three years: "The startup certificate will exempt SMEs from income tax and profit tax on innovation for three years. In the coming months, it is planned to launch an online sales platform to expand the opportunities for SMEs, promote their products and services."

He added that another innovation is related to the online learning platform: "In 2021, an online video training platform will be launched to expand the training opportunities for SMEs and study best practices in business."
