Azerbaijani capital sees 4% increase in trade turnover

The volume of trade turnover in Baku in January-September 2021 increased by 3.9% and amounted to 17,017,400,000 manats compared to the same period in 2020, Report has learnt from the Baku City Statistics Department.
The value of food, drinks, and tobacco products sold at trade networks increased by 4.7% compared to the corresponding period of last year and amounted to 8,931,800,000 manats, and the volume of non-food products rose by 3.2%, or 8,085,600,000 manats.
Over this period, 36.5% of consumer goods were sold at enterprises with the status of a legal entity, 45.4% - in retail facilities, owned by private entrepreneurs, 18.1% - in the food markets of the capital.
