Azerbaijan to subsidize businesses' utility connection costs

Azerbaijan will subsidize businesses' costs of connecting to utility services, Murad Abdullayev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Business Development Fund, said at the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026) in Baku.

According to Report, he noted that investment promotion documents are provided for flagship projects eligible for tax and customs incentives.

"Industrial parks located in various regions, with ready-made infrastructure and utility services, also offer tax and customs incentives, minimizing the time and costs required to set up a business. In addition, further support measures will be introduced, including subsidies to cover businesses' costs of connecting to utility services," he said.
