On October 7, a meeting was held between Azerbaijani Deputy Economy Minister Rovshan Najaf and Tajik Deputy Foreign Minister Sharaf Sheralizoda in the format of a video conference, according to the Tajik Foreign Ministry, Report informs referring to the AVESTA news agency.

The meeting participants discussed issues of deepening trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.

A number of representatives from the two countries made presentations on investment opportunities, free economic zones, joint ventures and the establishment of joint logistics centers in Tajikistan.

The parties also agreed on the need to develop untapped opportunities for cooperation at the level of the public and private sectors of the two countries, and noted the effective role of the regular organization of forums of small and medium-sized businesses in the development of this area.
