Azerbaijan starts buying pork from one more country

In January-October this year, Azerbaijan purchased 1,063 tons of frozen pork from abroad for $2.3 million.

According to Report’s calculations based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, compared to the same period last year, this is 15.3% more in value and 27.5% more in quantitative terms.

During the reporting period, 1,013 tons (2.4 times more than a year ago) of pork were imported from Brazil for $2,267 (+2.1 times), from Germany - 39.9 tons (+21%) for $100,000 (+32%), from Hungary - 5.6 tons (+58%) for $15,000 (+50%), from Argentina - 1.4 tons for $3,000, from the Netherlands - 0.8 tons (-97.5%) for $3,000 (-97.1%).

This year, for the first time in the last 11 years, purchases were made from Argentina.
