Azerbaijan sharply increased canned chicken imports from Germany

In January–September of this year, 2,000 tons (+16%) of ready-made or canned chicken products worth $7.42 million (+18%) were imported to Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 800 tons (-26%) of the product worth $2.1 million (-46%) from Russia, 242 tons (+6.5 times) worth $1.5 million (+8 times) from Hungary, 247 tons (+14 times) worth $1.4 million (+15 times) from Germany, 341 tons (-17%) worth $900,000 (-30%) from Belarus, and 251 tons (+2 times) worth $800,000 (+2 times) from Ukraine.

Some 51.4% of the 2,608 tons of canned chicken brought to Azerbaijan from 11 countries last year were purchased from Russia.
