Azerbaijan sees 1% growth in positive balance of foreign trade turnover

In January-May 2020, Azerbaijan’s trade operations with foreign countries amounted to $11.1 billion, down 22.9% from the previous year, Report informs citing the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.
Export accounted for $ 7 billion, down 19.1% from the previous year. Import dropped 28.6% to $4.2 billion.
Consequently, the positive balance of trade turnover amounted to $2.8 billion, up 0.9% from a year earlier.
